Restaurant
"da Loredana"

Restaurant da Loredana, traditional local cuisine in Castel del Monte (AQ)

The restaurant is the hotel’s pride and joy, which is why the kitchen is managed directly by the owners. The menu is based on seasonal products and ingredients sourced primarily from local suppliers, including meats, cheeses, and legumes from farms and agricultural businesses located near the village—truly zero-kilometer.

Among the products on our table you’ll find the following Slow Food Presidia typical of the area: pecorino canestrato from Castel del Monte, lentils from Santo Stefano di Sessanio, mortadella from Campo Tosto, chickpeas from Navelli, beans from Paganica, solina wheat from the Abruzzo Apennines, L’Aquila liver sausage, turchesa potato.
Saffron from the Navelli plain, the most flavorful and prized in the world, is featured in many of our recipes.

Our specialties are fresh pasta, prepared daily by Loredana following traditional family recipes passed down through generations, and meat cooked strictly over charcoal, including lamb from Castel del Monte and the ever-present Abruzzo arrosticini.

A large wood-fired oven located in the dining room allows us to cook pizzas and flatbreads whose dough is lovingly prepared directly by Gianni.

With 150 seats, the restaurant is also suitable for hosting banquets and receptions. Thanks to the ample space, we organize children’s birthday parties and many other events.
