Cross-country skiing at Campo Imperatore

The Campo Imperatore plateau is an ideal natural environment for cross-country skiing, thanks to the morphological characteristics of the terrain and the high altitude that guarantees consistent snow cover throughout the winter.
Approximately 50 km of groomed trails are available to Nordic skiing enthusiasts and are suitable for every type of skier. To reach the groomed trails by car, you must drive up from Barisciano, passing through S. Stefano di Sessanio, Calascio, and finally Castel del Monte.
Cross-country ski instructors are available on-site to organize guided tours.
